Best Spark Plugs for an ES300
It's time for me to change yet another set of sparkplugs. I have a 97 ES and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on which spark plugs are the best. I was thinking about going with Denso Iridium, but I also heard NGK Iridium IX plugs were pretty good. Any ideas?

Only use Denso, or NGK plugs. Iridiums are the best, Followed by plat, then normal. Normal plugs last as long as the platinum ones, leaving Normal VS Iridium.
What you get into is the arguement as to why people use what they use.
Personally, it's a complete waste of money. The $1-2 NGK/Denso plugs last through plug change intervals. Iridium plugs can last 80-120,000 miles. The problems with them are they they cost $10-$15 a PLUG, and they STILL need to be taken out and cleaned at the recommended plug interval because of build-up on them.
Which brings us back to, why pay $10-15x the amount of money for something that still needs to come out at 60,000, or 90,000 miles.
Then again, if it engorges your member to pay $60 for six spark plugs who cares. You feel better about yourself.

I agree to use either NGK or Denso iridiums. Always get factory original equipment or OE. You might find the Denso in the IK20 stock number, these are NOT original OE plugs & will only last you 30,000 miles.

What do you think is better? Stock or aftermarket plugs? I'd say change the spark plugs every 60-90,000 miles. I guess you could wait 120,000 but I wouldn't recommend it if you wanna have your engine operating at peak performance.

After a few years of seeing others use the iridium plugs in their cars, I would highly recommend them. They seem to last forever. I plan on using them after my car is tuned.
