I have a 1993 ES300 and the driver side
shock is leaking.
Lexus wants $1000 CDN to repair it.
They will change the shocks, mounts and rubbers.
(both sides)
There is a place where I go to,they
want the charge me $415 CDN to
repair my car. They will just change the Shocks
to Tokico Performance Non-sealed.
Is this a good thing to do???

I wouldn't change only one shock to a high performance one and keep the rest stock. I would replace them all to have the same handling on all 4 corners. Also tokico's ride a little rougher then stock, since they handle stiffer. I don’t know what kinda ride your going for; I just threw in some Monroe sensetracs in my ES and B&G springs. The sensetracs are good for a soft ride. The whole set up (Shocks, struts and springs) cost me about 700 dollars installed.

One thing i wanted to ask, do you mean "both sides" as in left and right? or all around front and back also, i think its best to do all four corners when your doing suspension,
