Will camry spoiler fit an es300?
First off, I'de like to say hi to everyone here. I'm a new member but I've been reading posts for a while. Would you guys happen to know if the 97-01 oem camry spoiler will fit a 1998 es300? I was searching for spoilers on ebay and I came across two different designs. The camry replica spoiler seems to be slightly taller than the one made for the es300. Also, how much would be a fair price for installlation of a spoiler? Thanks for your responses.

hi welcome to the club! as for your question... yes it does fit! actually, the lexus dealerships offters a spoiler option for the ES by using camry spoilers... at least in the ny dealerships they do.
as for fair price of installation including paint job, $100-200.

Thanks for the quick reply FLiP Sp33d. I was lookin at pictures of your car and noticed that your spoiler is different from the camry spoiler. Did you buy your spoiler off of ebay? Can you comment on the fitment of your spoiler? Thanks, its really hard to pick between the two spoilers.

i got the spoiler from spoilerdepot.com. the deal with that spoiler is that if you drill the holes according to the factory holes, the spoiler is up forward too much. i had the body shop widen the factory hole under the trunk so i have the spoiler placed further back along the edge. the other thing is that it's fiberglass and a little heavy. the added weight makes the alarm sensitive and sometimes it goes off when i open the trunk with the remote button. this problem doesnt occur with the camry spoiler since its light and made of abs plastic.

I wonder if the drill hole area will rust a lot quicker compared to having a factory spoiler already installed (holes pre-drilled)? I know it wasen't an option on the ES......I'm just wondering how the metal will hold up over time with salt & bad winter conditions for some of us?

The Camry spoiler on the black ES looks very nice and flows well with the rest of the lines on the car
gmac, keep us updated on the spoiler news with your ES (and take some pics)
