Do I have to do the 5k miles service in dealer?
Hi, I have the 2014 CT-F almost 5000 miles
it's a lease car.
Do i have to do the maintenance service by the dealer? what else the dealer will do besides the oil change? the dealer in my area is a well known rip off expert ..
Any idea?
Thanks

Depends on where you are, but here in SoCal, I believe most of the dealers offer free services for the 5K and 10K. The 5K does not have oil change, oil change for the CT is scheduled for every 10K. The first 5K service is pretty minimal if I remember right. It is pretty much just rotate the tires and check everything. You can see what's being done in your maintenance manual.

If your car is leased, doesn't that mean all maintenance is free?

It is a free service, go to the dealer. Then you will be in the Lexus service database, which will help with car value when you turn it in.
Same with the 10,000 mile oil change and service. All they do is rotate the tires, change the oil and look at a bunch of stuff.

Yes you would definitely need to take the car in for service at 5k and 10k its free anyways for the first 2. and its also under you leasing contract that you signed to have the vehicle maintained at those intervals. good luck man.

the 5k service and 10k service was free (included) after i bought my CT new from the dealer. i was like, why not! other than that, i only bring the CT into the dealer every 10k miles now. every 5k, i'll just rotate tires myself.

The 5K and 10K mile service is free so I would definitely take advantage of that. After that you can change your own oil and oil filter as I do it myself or pay a legit local mechanic to change your oil and service your vehicle. It's up to you...as long as your CT is getting it's service maintenance and be sure to keep documentation...
I currently have over 76K miles on my CT 200h. I change my oil and oil filter every 5K miles. I have a K&N air filter that I clean from time to time. I've also had all four of my tires changed and replaced both rear shocks. So far my CT runs like a champ...
