I don't understand why they would promote or even advertise that is available for our cars etc. if it can't truly be installed.

Even if we could install it, I don't see how this would be any kind of a worthwhile upgrade for our CTs. The mode selection is pretty much all you need. If you want more MPGs and slower throttle response, throw that ***** in ECO and drive a slug.
If this would be for performance reasons, unless it can pull additional juice from the batteries there is no way this car is getting faster without some hardware upgrades. The piddly 98hp/105tq from the motor isn't going to feel/get any faster with a pedal piggyback software upgrade in addition to the existing SPORT mode.
In other words, wasted money and adds clutter to an otherwise very clean dash IMHO.

I am in sport mode all the time and it does not void warranty. Doing some sort of hack job, additional module, etc.. would be the type of stuff to void warranty.
I am just saying that ideally I'd like a hybrid of sport and eco mode.
Where I get full power to the electrical system, and the slow mellow throttle response of eco mode.
that would definitely maximize fuel economy for me.
