will this work for a 2013 model and allow me to stream netflix from my phone while driving?
it would be good fore a long trip so my kid has something to watch
Unfortunately, this will not work for the 2013 mode, but the BB6223 will. To allow streaming of Netflix, you will need to get an adapter from your phone to RCA Composite out. In addition to the video input harness, AVC38: http://www.beatsonicusa.com/avc38.html
For example, if you have an iphone 5, the following items will also be needed:
Lightning to HDMI converter, HDMI to RCA converter, then to AVC38

I've received the BB6223 for my 2013 with OEM NAV
The unit has two GPS connectors (male/female) which I'm assuming is left unconnected because it doesn't fit any of the connectors in the back of the telematics unit.
The instructions says to connect it.
i've just left them not connected and went for a test drive and it works great.
you don't need to remove the arm test section for this install and i don't think you need to remove the section above the steering wheel column.
While I had everything open, I installed an internal cell phone charger so I can charge my phone while I use the USB port for music. I took an old car charger which had an extra usb port and tapped into the cig lighter for the input and the two micro usb outputs came out (one from under the media dock and the other I routed to the glove box so the passenger can charge their phone at the same time). sorry no pictures but very easy to do.
