Extra Battery/ Plug-in Hybrid Conversion
Has anyone ever considered adding battery packs to their CT?
It costs a lot of money $4-6k, but it is still not too bad considering the upgrade cost to a plug-in hybrid.

On the plug-in supply website it says it's compatible with the ct200h and they also report some Prius owners getting around 90mpg. I also though it was interesting that it is not a built-in solution as you can easily remove the battery packs.

I had considered it. I was unimpressed when I realized how little the battery actually gets used. I saw one of the videos for the lithium packs that allowed you to use electric only while cruising down the freeway. Where normally the ICE is running anytime above 40mph or so.

"The bumper plug can be installed on either the front (above) or rear of the vehicle."
