2013 ct fsport Sounds
I am amazed with this car, coming from a rwd suped up isf, I got a loaner ct f sport and wow does it handle great for being a fwd hybrid car. The wise choice would've been to go with this car instead of an isf but being a car enthusiast I know I will miss the performance from the isf or fast cars in general. I am actually looking to purchase a hybrid car as a second car, it was either the prius or this. I test drove prius's and they kind of sucked, I didnt like the interior, loud engine noise and dash/cockpit, well the ct solves that quite a bit. The engine noise is significally quieter ( I dont know what they did, but it is).
Some things I have questions about are:
1) Anyone with the ct experience noise from the rear passenger vents? Are those cooling for battery or something, it's always on. Highway, stop and go traffic and so forth.
2)Whats up with the brake noise, it sounds like its leaking air everytime you press it and its so soft. Is that the re-gen process?
Those are my only two complaints? I am actually about to purchase this as my beater broke down and really looking into a hybrid car as it will be driven mostly city. The ct shocked me, it's got ***** granted you'd have to be on the pedal to feel it go, I'd really think it be a great second city car with great mileage.

I'll answer you questions first.
1) Yes. It's the fan for the battery.
2) I don't really know what is making the sound, but mine does it as well. I had a 06 Prius previously and it didn't make that sound. But I'd say it's normal.
I too am an enthusiast, while having 3 other performance cars.
Having the Prius and now the CT, you cannot beat them for every day cars.
The reliability, fuel economy, and in the CTs case, handling, just make them great cars to live with when the others are parked.
