Primary impact (at least for the center mounted exhaust) would be the inability to install a hitch. Other than that, I don't see any axle back exhaust affecting MPGs.
Also, for those living in CA, as insignificant as it already is, an intake charcoal delete would probably affect MPGs more so than an exhaust.

I installed my APEXi catback with APEXi paper gaskets and got the gasket CEL. I promptly changed out the gaskets by putting the stock gaskets back in and the CEL has not come back.

yeah, i've been following this thread for a while now. crazy to see how much the exhaust scene has grown for the is500. anyone here running the invidia q300? thinking about pulling the trigger on that one.
