Can the CT owners confirm the following?

1) Does the Blue Echo Lamp (standard blue instrument panel display light) fade in and out while driving (Normal and Eco modes) the CT? I thought maybe this might be an energy saving feature (not much energy to bother saving) but figure it might be a loose connection with the wiring. According to the Mrs., the back light on the instrument gauges are on but the blue light goes in and out. My guess is that it is a loose cable but I haven't driven the vehicle yet to check on the issue...

Also,

2) The small display screen that shows the battery charging status and mileage achieved tracking information also seems to go into "sleep mode" where the screen goes blank while driving. You have the press the button to get it to display again. Is this a standard function?

i think it fades out when you are not eco driving :-).

not sure about screen, probably some setting somewhere... generally, Lexus does not have such electrical issues.

For #1 - it will go from Blue to off depending on the power meter. When you are in the power area the blue light goes out and then comes back on when you get back into the eco area.

on #2 - I have not noticed mine going off at all, only changing when I engage the criuse to display the set speed on Radar setting when running in that mode.

I agree with Bob about # 1, but I have not seen any problem as described in # 2 unless you accidently touch the button that controls that display on the steering wheel.

I'll update my #2 a little to say without radar criuse on, the screen only shows the speed the cruise is set at and the screen that was being shown with the cruise off does not show only the speed set, till you turn off the criuse.
