Default 90k Service for fellow San Diego Folks

For those of you living in San Diego, where have you gotten your 90k's done, and how much did it cost you? I've gotten quotes from quite a few, but I wanted to see what you all thought.

I'm not going to replace the water pump, but may do the timing belt at the same time. Any experiences are appreciated.

you need to specify exactly what is included in your interpretation of the "90k" because most people here consider the timing belt as the big hitter within that service, not something you do at the same time.

We can't let you know what we think without knowing prices you were able to obtain. I paid $1k for parts and labor including water pump and all seals involved in Alabama. Since there are a lot of these cars in Cali, I'm sure the prices should be cheaper due to more experience and more independent mechanics. I didn't touch any pulleys, but I will replace once I get to 200k. I have a 300 and I was hesitant to replace the WP because it wasn't leaking and it's much easier to get to vs. the 400/430 which sits behind the TB (only makes sense to replace at same time), but I went ahead and replace the WP. I kept it though because it was still good lol.

Fair enough. I am talking about the full 90k service INCLUDING the timing belt, but EXCLUDING the water pump. I have been quoted right around $900-$950 by at least 3 companies. Just wanted to advice from those who have gotten it done in San Diego.

You would get a better response posting this in our SoCal section. Please don't repost though moderator will move this for you.

I would put my estimate to be about 6hours of labor + parts. So you'll have to add that up.

Main stuff:
Timing belt and related inspection/replacement of the parts in that service.
oil change
radiator coolant drain and fill (since it'll be off anyway)
Serpentine belt (because it'll be off anyway)
brake fluid change
?

I suggest you don't try to go necessarily for the lowest cost, but pick the shop that seems like they maybe most competent at this specific job. Because if they haven't, they are likely going to get stymied on the pulley bolt and break a bunch of their tools and your car won't be ready for a few days.

dimebag993, first of all, can you let us know what year + model Lexus you're driving?
