Default 90K Service

Anyone know how much that 90K service charge is? I know you have to replace the timing belt. Do you also have to replace the water pump too as well? I talked to one of the service guys at Longo Lex and he said it wasn't necessary to replace pump.

Cool

The dealer usually recommends both the waterpump and idlers at that time because if one of those just happens to go out right after the belt replacement then you are looking at paying the same amount of labor or more to go into the front of the engine again.its just preventative maintenance.

$700 for 90K service, add another $850 for the timing belt and water pump. My Lexus service here recommended to do both at 90K.

I just got my 90K service done, and I replaced the water pump since it was leaking and the pulleys. I paid like around $1600 out the door after tax.

They charged me like $137 for the water pump which is average.

That was Lexus of Pleasanton. Lexus of Concord wanted to rape me for $2500. I think not.

Well both those prices seem really high for a service. So then the 90K service doesn't include changing the timing belt?

I paid $850 for my 90k service which included the timing belt, drive belts, and other stuff from a mechanic who worked for the Lexus dealer and have his own shop. Pm me if you want his phone # if you're down here in So Cal. Yeah the dealer wanted WAY over a grand easily, I believe at least twice as much.
