noticed the missing gas pump latch??
im not sure if you guys/gals have noticed that when you went to pump gas that there wasn't a latch to keep the gas pump on?
well recently california put a law into effect that gas stations must remove those clips
here's a solution though

Thats strange, I just used it a few days ago...
Maybe I'm so used to it, it was an illusion.
But yeah I'm at the gas station every other day with the Crown Victoria so I'm an expert now

damn, i, too, didn't know there was such a law passed. filled up my dad's minivan two days ago, and there was still a latch. it definitely takes the convenience out of knowing when it has fully filled up, which sucks, cuz usually i see people put it on the latch and grab some stuff from the on-site mart or clean the windshields. the gas cap as a makeshift latch was a nice touch in the article. :P

It is stoopid. I've always held the pump in the filler tube to begin with. Here is a hazardous fluid being dispensed and the possibility of it being ejected by the force of the gas being pumped out...not a chance. Not to mention if the pump comes out and gouges/scratches the car as well as spraying gas around the area.
Pretty soon it will be like Oregon where only the gas attendant will pump gas into the car. (Do other states do that?)
