ULTiMaX99,
I just spoke with Hann about getting my blk/blk IS350 done with HO 30. However, I read some complaints about ghosting with the HO ceramic film. Do you notice any ghosting with your tint? I also asked Hann about the Madico ceramic film, but he said he prefers working with the HO, at least as far as ceramic film goes.

Hmm, does anyone know if Hann has worked on the ES350? I believe the IS and ES isn't that different in terms of the windows. Also, where is Hann located at? I might be getting a tint in the next week or two.

I live in Diamond Bar and I was recommended to Elite Advantage Window Tinting (714)998-7797. The guys name is Toby and he comes to your place. He charged $210 for my 35% Llumar all around. Hes been tinting cars for a long time and I was very happy with his work. If you remember the Minority Report Lexus, he tinted that car at the LA Auto show back in 2002. Took him about 2hrs to do the job and he came to my place, so I didnt have to worry about dropping my car off at a shop. I just chilled with him outside as he tinted my car.
He has done several 2IS's and he DID NOT have to remove the door panel to properly tint my windows. A good tinter should be able to apply the tint without removing the door panels. He also knew how to take out the third brake light and tinted the entire back window (some tinters will claim that they need to tint around the brake light). Hope this info helps.

"Ghosting" occurs when the thicker HO film is heated to stretch to the window shape. At least that's my interpretation of it. Apparently, it's more visible in the darker film, such as HO30. When I spoke with Hann, he said he's seen it in the HO30 film on some of his installs, but never on the HO40. I'll just have to see how dark the HO40 looks on a black/black IS350.
Do a google search on Huper Optik ghosting and you'll see complaints from some of the installers.

With the staggering amount of information on tints, I'm having trouble deciding what to get...Can some of you give suggestions on what brands you recommend for a GS350? Which brands give the best performance and value? Thanks.
