Guys, I just got my new (to me) GS350 tinted with Han at STM. I know it's been repeated many times, but Han's the man to go to.
I went with the Huper Optic ceramic stuff (40) all around - also did my windshield too (50). the difference is day and night.
I had the cheap llumar stuff, and those summers of having the AC full blast is gone! I can literally escape with setting it on low now.
Paid $650, but it's well worth it knowing my black leather and interior is safe from the menacing sun.

It's been about 3 weeks, and everything still looks good. I did not request any special tint, so I am also wondering if the lifetime warranty covers purpling. A lot of folks on this thread tend to mention that...

Fine, I meant cheap metallic film versus the awesome ceramic stuff.
I had the llumar tint, it was okay, great for privacy, but the heat rejection sucks.
The Huper optik is a huge difference. It's cleared up already - no ghosting, no blotches, nothing. Although I am tempted to go get a heat lamp and hold it on the outside to shock my buddies into an AWE :O state.
THANK YOU HAN at STM. Worth every dollar.

After some searching, I recommended that my brother check out California Tint in Rosemead. They seem to do quality work. They quoted $250 for ceramic tint on all 4 doors and the rear window of a 2010 TSX. Does that seem like a fair price? Thanks.

Awesome, what percentage did you get? Did you do the fronts as well?

Got my wife's and my tint done maybe almost a month ago at California tint:
08 IS 350 $125 for all windows, 33 in the front, 20's in the back
09 Highlander $135 for all windows (7?), 20 all around
Peter, the owner I believe, is a pretty nice guy too.

If you want the best tint possible, check out Campbell Window Film in Huntington Beach. They carry 3M's Crystalline Line. Looks incredible on the new car, couldn't be happier.

so new things are happening over at huper i guess. and in the near future they will be offering darker tints in their ceramic line maybe in the near future. they told me they can get me some but there are some strings that need to be pulled on my half. regularly they usually only sell as dark as the 30%. but a 20 15 and 5 is being made overseas. the 5 is supposed to block an amazing 75% heat. thats as high as architectural numbers. with huper being changed it looks like they might create a big push here in the US but dont expect it to get any cheaper. but huper does have an economy line here in the US. its huper xtreme, non-metal film if u want huper at a cheaper price.
and for those that think huper is the most expensive, it isnt. there are some v-kool films and 3M crystalline is more expensive. i wont say which films are better though. also madico MAC ceramic is also a good alternative to huper and so is hi-lite if you can find it
