Default Tint

Hey guys,

I know that theres a thread like this but i just wanted to ask a few more questoins.

What kind of level/percent of tint is good....like not enough to get a ticket for but dark enough to make it look nice on a charcoal is300?

What is the average price?

Do you fellas know any spots in the 909 area code..?

What are the average prices for the job?

its my first mod to my car...

THANKS

I just did my 04 IS300 with "light" tint all the way around. I got black on black leather, so light tint will make it dark enough for it, ya know. Came out really nice, looks more like "factory" looks and very "rich" tone. One thing that I would not do regardless the darkness is that I wouldn't do uneven percentage, such as doing light up front and limo dark on the back windows and so forth.

I got it done right here in Orange County, Anaheim. Complete tint will run between $175 to $250 !!! Shops charge less than $175..... hm.... I'm not too sure !! Unless you know that shop and getting "hook up deal", otherwise I'd rather spend extra $25 or so to get it right, ya know.

This mod is once in your car's life, pretty much, so spend more and get it right at the first time.

My opinion, of course !! Good luck !!

Definitely your opinion.

My 04 IS was done at Longo. I had tint on my car since I first drove it off the lot. Lifetime Guarantee through Longo for Solargard 20% rear 35% fronts. This was done on purpose...not for asthetics.

LA County Sherrifs are notorious for pulling people over for front tint. If you live in LA county...i would suggest going light on the front if you want a dark setting for the back. Or if you want, go with 50% all around. California Tint in Rosemead is a reputable place if 626 isnt too far for you.
