Hey guys, Im looking for and independent shop or mechanic that can help diagnose the problem on my 2008 Lexus IS250 AWD. The brake pedal is super stiff and very hard to stop. The car also has The check engine, VSC light, etc. with the codes P0171, P0174, and possibly P0175 if i recall correctly.
Any shop/mechanic that you recommend that works on Lexus and is familiar with an IS250? I really don't want to go to the dealership. I am located in schuamburg/chicago. Thank you!

Hello all, I have a 2007 LS460 and need the 120K maintenance and have the dread Brake Actuator System Failure...I know these two items will cost me well over $3K at a Lexus dealership. Any info on a local Chicago mechanic shop would be highly appreciated. Thanks

I'd like to invite you over to the LS corner of the forum where there is quite an abundance of information regarding the LS.
I realize that I am very late here, as I seldom check this area due to very infrequent activity, but the actuator warranty has been extended by Lexus.
In the event you have paid for the replacement, hopefully you can produce the receipt and take it back to Lexus for a proper refund.
Hope this helps.
