ESPN zone is a good place to watch the game. You can catch a cab to wrigleyville and go to one of numerous sports bars etc..
Just stay in the city or north of the city and you should be fine. There are many great places both south and west, but if you don't know where to go specifically you can end up in a not so great area.
Also relax. Chicago is by normal standards a very friendly town. You can head to John Barleycorn in Wrigleyville for some good drinking and drunken fun. Right in the area there are a zillion other bars to hop around to.
