Snow... what stinkin' snow!?
Well this was the first rough patch of snow i have had to drive in since getting the Three-50 (late Dec.). Thanks to all who pointed me towards the Three-50 over the 2... No regrets.
I got the snow shoes (blizzaks) and was a happy camper this morning no problems out or in If it had been worse, i wouldn't have come in to work today even with AWD. How about the rest of my fellow RWD commuters... any jitters this morning... I can say i had one with an 18 wheeler not keeping his lane while i was trying to get by him on the burb streets... but other than that?!

I drive an AWD Acura MDX when its like this out. I havent had my car out since Friday, and that was to wash it.
BTW... I saw a 01'-03' Silver Corvette driving around about 9:30ish this morning.....in the snow....the guy...ALL OVER THE ROAD!!!
It was on Wise Rd in Schaumburg.

My GS4 is my daily driver, with some winter tires it handles great, cant even get the *** to whip out. Cant wait for all this stuff to melt and warm up so I can put away the GS and start driving my Z06.

I had my car in the dealership for the 15K service and also for some rattles and what not that I've been having with the speaker system. They gave me a RX400H to take for a few days. I've had it since Monday and I was impressed, but they need some winter tires on that thing, all seasons just suck. Picked up my 350 at the dealership this morning and the car drove great ripping through the snow on my blizzaks. Although, do NOT drive with the snow mode on. It nearly caused me to get INTO an accident.
Pulling out of the dealership I had the snow mode activated, as soon as I pulled out of the dealership and into the middle of the road, the car was sensing that I was losing traction so cut off all power to the wheels. I was crawling at like 1 mile and hour. Mind you I did not dart into the intersection, I was pulling out very slowly. I had plenty of time initially, but this crawl was so slow, that cars were now coming in both directions. I flipped the switch back to normal, spun the tires a tad and got some grip and away I went.
Bottom line. ECT snow mode sucks.
But other than that fiasco, driving the 350 with blizzaks posed no problem at all.

I took the GS out of hibernation a bit today. Drove it around for about 15 mins to get all the juices flowing. I enjoy the VQ in the I30, but damn... it was nice punching the V8 monster today.

Last night I parked it in my garage and stayed home. It was just plain nasty and dangerous. Blizzaks or not. Although today driving the IS around with Blizzaks made me feel better and better about dropping the cash on the blizzaks this season.
I'm in Lake county so we got the worst of it. I awoke at 4 am to a rwd explorer stuck in the alleyway because the snow drift had gotten so bad. The winds were just crazy. The drift made the entire road disappear.
