Overall good month for Toyota and Lexus. The GS, however, experienced an abnormally huge drop of 37% even when considering the SUV-crazed buying pattern these days, especially since it just received a mid-cycle refresh. This is simply not healthy for a luxury brand. A car as well engineered as the GS does not deserve to sell in such small numbers.

The trend towards SUVs and trucks is pretty astounding. Cheap gas prices are probably big factor in this. But, people are extremely short-sighted by nature and can't see two feet beyond their noses. It won't take much for gas prices to zoom back up as quickly as they trended down. People are blind to that fact and it is a fact. Nothing lasts forever.
In regards to sedan sales, I love it. I've always gone against the grain. SUVs are so ubiquitous that you're invisible in a sea of likeness. Less sedan sales makes me happy from a selfish perspective. Less chances of seeing the same car next to me.
