Default The 911 Soundbar

If Dolby and DTS get you more excited than MPH and RPM, then the 911 Soundbar could be for you.

The Soundbar has been made by Porsche Design and uses an original rear silencer and twin exhaust from a 911 GT3. It’s then been fitted with a 2.1 virtual surround sound system with an integrated subwoofer, with total output power rated at 200W.

It’s capable of decoding Dolby soundtracks and has DTS TruSurround virtual surround processing.

$3200 for that hideous thing? Pass. Especially considering the point of a soundbar is to sit under the TV when a full compliment of traditional speakers is impractical.

Those B&O systems can get up to 6K in cars...and I think that is why car makers are removing them from their vehicles now.

My B&O only cost 3700 and I think it's the best option I spent on my car, love the sound and the little tweeter on the dash rise up with LED is still cool to look at

just as it can get away with an aircooled rear mount engine, which in essence is nothing but a FWD car driving in reverse? I'd reserve my opinion until I listen to it.

Check out the A6/A7 forums. Even those who spent the extra $4,600 for the B&O aren't that impressed with the sound. Unfortunate.
