They're glorious. I'm actually getting rid of my F-type and getting a Range Rover Sport SVR as a replacement.

Hmm... Production starts on September 28th, but it isn't available until January in the US? Quite the delay, but thanks for the information.

Sounds like your guesses were 100% on point, as it will be revealed in the U.S. on August 13th (August 14th for the rest of us).

The U.S.-market never received the first facelift in early 2010 nor the Supercharged version. Despite comparisons being made with MY2015 Escalade CUE dash design, these changes were at least frozen 18 months (final/showroom design) prior to production, if not a full 24-months.

Basic concept of 200-Series 3LX design alterations were likely reached sometime in the second half of 2013, being locked-in between October 2013 and April 2014 (dependent on level flexibility), just as the new Escalade was unveiled. The current iteration of the 3LX, was frozen in 2010 and basic profile in 2004-early 2005. The next model is likely not yet finished, save for the Land Cruiser version (due in 2017).

You think it has problems (just like all the other people on the internet who are bothered by the polarizing design) but that doesn't mean it won't sell.

This is by far the best iteration of the LX, the design needs to be bold to challenge the GL and I think it has just what it needs to be a threat in that class, sans proper offset..
Unlike the GX, the LX has pretty much always had "the Spindle" since about early 2010, just not in the US. It has gone from simple contouring of the fascia (2010-11), to having chrome accenting (2012-15), some newer examples seen in UZJ100GXR's compilation, and now the full treatment (2015~2019). In fact, it is the first modern Lexus model generation, to have introduced this grille unification, which slowly gained more prominence with each update evolutionarily.

That's not a good idea in my opinion, as the LX570 has the Toyota Land Cruiser (200) to contend with in the U.S. market as a price floor, unlike the GX460. The Prado isn't sold there, so the GX460 can currently get away with price reductions, unless the Toyota version came to North America.

I do not see Toyota de-contenting the U.S. Land Cruiser from being fully-equipped and lowering the price, until the 300-Series for 2018 and also if the 4Runner and Sequoia are discontinued. Somehow, the latter just might (unfortunately) survive in spite of plans to kill it.

Thanks, I was actually expecting December or late November. I do occasionally arrange grey-market exporting on the East Coast or through Galveston for the LX, GX, and RX, as well as the QX80 (formerly QX56), so the sooner the better works for me. Lexus really needs to expand though, as they continue to miss potential markets.

Finally saw the new Lexus LX570. Wow! I love the new styling. At first I was worried. But seeing it in person is impressive. The interior is also world class impressive.

I did say if looked ugly at first impression, but seeing it in person is a whole different impression.

Finally sat in the 2016 LX570 while getting a tire plugged today.

Wow! Great job by Toyota on the big flagship. The materials are excellent and the design is very good. I think this LX will not be changed for at least another 4-5 MYs. Kinda like what they are doing with the current LS.

There are some of the harder plastics on the lower parts of the trim. But that is a good thing IMO as they wipe clean and you can actually not have to worry about scuffing things up when actually using the vehicle for utility purposes.

The centre stack is really nice. The buttons and fonts all do dark until the vehicle is started. Very nice piano black type of material.

My only gripe is the lack of touchscreen/remote touch combo. Remote touch only is too frustrating and troublesome over having both options available.
