I checked the map and re-read some of the posts and there might be a good chance that you are. "Not that there is anything wrong with that".

Although, IMO, not as surprising as the Corolla taking Florida, another interesting question is why the GMC Sierra outsells the Chevy Silverado in Vermont. It's basically the same truck with slightly upscale trim and equipment.

Not a bit surprised that Ford is big in Texas. Big Ford 150s with their gun racks are all over and they don't know what to make of me in my "fureign" Audi S5.
Since I don't own an F150 with a gun rack I always make sure I own a car that will outrun 'em.

I have to agree that some of those maps out West showing Ram as the best-seller are questionable. It is true that Ram sales started increasing in 1994 with the first of the semi/big-rig-look designs, and further increased with the noted ride-comfort and refinement of the newest models...but overall sales still trail the F-150 by a good margin.

Living in Alabama my entire life 10 years ago Chevy and Ford ruled the state. Now with Toyota plants in Alabama I see Camrys everywhere and I mean everywhere! From personal vehicles to company cars you can't beat the reliability and mpg's. I was also surprised to see Florida with the Corolla, what a weak car that is.

How long ago did you live there? Subaru has been the unofficial (I guess somewhat official) car of Washington for quite some time now. I lived there from 2005 to 2010, and still travel there quite frequently and Subarus are EVERYWHERE. You can't turn around without bumping into a Subaru in Seattle.

All these sales partially depend on great dealer support, so these are all "dealer wins" as much as manufacturers.

Can't say for sure, but what probably gained the Camry more respect in Alabama and surrounding states was its recent success in NASCAR. NASCAR is famous for "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday".
