Does your service advisor tell you about TSBs?
...without your asking?
Any of you have an SA that says something like- "your car may have this and that problem based on some TSBs we just received. Want us to check if such problems exist?"

They wont ever do that.. it is a TSB not a recall. You are supposed to tell them if something is wrong with your car. They usually ask you if you noticed anything or have any problems.

Never in all my years of owning a lexus vehicle.
I think it depends on the issue. When my MB went in for service, there was a trunk adjustment TSB which they did perform when they enter the VIN into the system. I don't see Lexus having the same program which tells them of any TSBs. They usually just punch in the mile service onto their iPad without running VIN

I usually read thru applicable TSBs and see if I have any of those issues and if so, print out the TSB and hand it to the SA when I bring it in for service.

My service advisor always informs me of TSBs when I bring in my car to service......... this is true at 2 of the dealerships I've serviced my IS F at, and at the third, I only did one service and I'm not sure I had any outstanding TSBs.

If a car is in for a specific complaint(s), any decent tech will know of, or check for relevant TSBs. They can really save valuable diagnostic time. I would not expect a service writer to volunteer TSB info. They would only know about very common ones anyway. For cars in warranty, applying TSBs often doesn't pay well. For cars out of warranty, applying TSBs is usually a customer pay deal. Dealers and techs are simply NOT motivated to apply TSBs without a specific complaint. The service writer will generally tell you about any TSBs they have addressed when you pick up your car.
In my opinion, it is the job of the customer and the service writer to clearly state the complaint so the tech can have the best chance to duplicate it. Only then will TSBs matter.

The first time I needed a TSB resolved, I mentioned it to the SA, and handed her a copy of it, and she said they like to diagnose the issue first, to make sure it applies, rather than just automatically perform it. So I don't think Lexus of Chester Springs (PA) is informing customers of outstanding TSBs.

Nope. I was just at the dealer for my 2007 RX350 and was told nothing about it even after my complaint was about squeaks and rattles (which seemed to be coming from the dash).

I'm usually well informed but it doesn't really come up unless I complain and they research it. There are tons of vehicles, tons of TSB's so don't expect them to know off the top of their head about a TSB. Could they look it up? I'm sure they could.
How does Honda do it, since you own an Accord?
