Aston needs a more efficient engine (on paper) for cafe and euro 5. The M156 in my CLS is rated at 12 city and 19 highway, however I return 14-15 avg. The new 5.5 TT returns 16 city and 25 highway and new upcoming 4.0 TT is poised to be even more efficient.

In terms of exhaust sound, there's nothing much that can be done beyond that (given that it's a 4 cylinder).

And to add to the fact, these aren't spectacular cars really; most people with a proper job can afford these cars, nothing worth taking pictures and showing off about.
