was only a few months ago that the Mercedes A45 AMG was unveiled to the world in Geneva alongside superstar singer Usher Raymond. At it’s first public debut, Mercedes chose to show off the upgraded AMG A-Class in the form of the Edition 1 A45 AMG, fitted with cosmetic upgrades on the inside and out and only available for 12 months.

With the limited edition A45 AMG available for a full year, we weren’t expecting to see a Black Series for some time. But based on the looks of the A45 AMG in the spy photos with its exceptionally wide fenders, it looks like we were off by a few months.

The current entry level A45 AMG will set you back €49,682.50 (incl. VAT) and boasts an impressive peak output of 360 hp (265 kW) and maximum torque of 450 Nm, a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds and fuel consumption of roughly 34.5 miles per gallon.
The Mercedes Black Series will likely output around 400 HP (294 kW) and feature a more aggressive body kit, larger wheels, bigger breaks and a significantly higher price tag.
