Does your automatic transmission delay up-shifts during warm-up?

When I worked for BMW this was fairly new, and it was a transition period of old cars not having this feature and new cars holding back the shifts, BMW told us it was implemented to simply reduces repair cost, most owners treat the car no different regardless of how cold it is, in fact I have come across quite a few people who told me push the gas harder when it colder
