A turbodiesel would be a welcome addition here, but alas we'll never see it

MPG is ok... speeed is nothing special, despite on-paper.

I have driven both 300HP V8 and V8 Diesel for more than 20 times :-), and V8 petrol kicks its *** in everything but fuel consumption, which is easily 50% more compared to diesel.

Hmm good to know. I'd still probably try to get the diesel if 1 it were here and 2 if I needed a vehicle like that. Wonder if they can be tuned for a little more hp/lbft

i am sure there are chips for it... just wont last forever when chipped :-).

Diesel is for cruising ride... petrol can be driven whatever way you want... you can gun it around and it will feel ok.

But really, as faster as V8 petrol feels, diesel is so much more frugal... difference is simply huge.

Of course, LC150 Prado 190hp 4cly diesel is also more frugal, by similar amounr :-).

Rav4 150hp Diesel - 7l/100km
LC 150 Prado 190hp Diesel - 10l/100km
LC 200 V8 Diesel - 15l/100km
LC 200 V8 Petrol - 25l/100km
