One cannnot just point a finger at Ford here (or, for that matter at GM and Chrysler either). Japanese-nameplate brands have also had their share of recalls lately.

Not only that, but because of a number of factors (including the dollar-yen exchange rate), some Japanese-nameplate vehicles (not all) have been cutting a number of corners in their latest products....especially in sheet-metal, trim, hardware, and sound-insulation. I mention them, as I see them, in my individual auto-reviews.
