Lightbulb BMW 2 Series Spied for first time

Proportions and shape looks better than the current 1 series already. The 2 series is supposed to replace the 1 series coupe and convertible.

This lets the 1-Series sedan come and do battle with the A3 sedan. This is madness! No this is Sparta!

Interesting that they took the photo-op (though with that ridiculous and unnecessary camoflauge) with snow falling. In fact, speaking of snow, I hope that any American-market 2-Series models (if, in fact, they are introduced here) avoids the two main marketing-failures of the previous American-market 1-Series...the lack of both AWD and hatchback models, though the recently-introduced X1 addresses part of that issue.

Although I agree, we both know its wishful thinking

I wouldn't call the absence of a 1-series hatchback an American marketing failure. I think BMW is well aware America doesn't care for hatchbacks that much.

This will have an uphill battle with the Audi A3 variants. The A3 sedan is very nice looking!
