I still think the ILX is what should have come out as the 2012 Civic. This to me seems like lipstick on a pig...
But kudos to Honda for biting the bullet and investing another _____million dollars right off the bat.

One thing inside, though, that Honda, to their credit, still does well is precision-damped, smooth-operating *****/switches/controls that are a pleasure to use.

The dash looks like it might (now) be padded.....though you can't tell for sure just from the shot.
Still has those awkward upper-tier gauges, though...I guess we'll have to wait for the next major redesign to address that.

Making the 2013 Civic better:
• More sound-deadening, including noise-reducing pads and thicker windshield and front window glass.
• A stiffer chassis for better handling and road feel, and more-responsive steering. Included is a new crash structure to improve safety ratings in the new partial-offset front collision tests.
• Nicer plastic and fabric inside, with more soft-touch materials, more attractive detailing and more metal accents.
• More standard features, including a backup camera on all models and an array of new infotainment features.
• Enough styling changes — hood and trunk lid in addition to the normal grille and light updates, adding about 2 inches in length overall — to send the factory guys to the bar across the street, muttering about "who's gonna pay for all this?"
The bill for the work is a weight boost of some 50 to 90 pounds, depending on model, and a price boost of $160 on each model. Modest for all the improvements.

exterior wise, not feeling the changes up front, but rear is ok. interior wise, much improved in materials but also much darker then before...

I know people say, like all the articles and reviews say that interior panels feel cheap and how the 2012 is so ugly but if you guys like actually give it a try,
Meaning really stop and stand next to one and look at it for a good 10 ten minutes It actually starts to grow on you a bit
It isn't so ugly after all.
I originally thought they were horrid and looked like a camry from the rear but when My bro picked one up.... I had no choice but to look at it for a long time lol and as I drove it here and there every once in a while and got used to it. it really isn't that bad
Drives like a Lexus, By that I mean it's quiet in the cabin and it feels solid. No power what so ever as it was a EX but it gets you where you need to g and very practical and just fine=)
So give it a chance! =) Just My Opinion=)
