Porsche 918 Spyder brochure leaks

(FULL DISCLOSURE) I don't like Porsche's. Just never got the allure. To me, every 911 since 1978 looks the same, and the Boxster was always a big "Meh" for me.
That being said....holy crap! That's a nice looking car!
Love that the engine is IN FRONT of the rear axle...and that Power/HP curve...whoa nelly!

But mehhhhh....not better than the $425K LFA N-ring Edition. I could get two of those for this 918 Spyder.

Porsche has just updated its Facebook page with new information regarding how quickly its upcoming 918 Spyder can go around the famed Nürburgring in Germany. According to its maker, the 770-horsepower hybrid supercar can lap the 'Ring in seven minutes and 14 seconds.
Unfortunately, Porsche didn't provide the tenths of a second needed to determine exactly where the 918 Spyder falls on the unofficial list of production car lap times for the 'Ring, but even without that, we can say that it lands in the company of the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package (7:14:64) and Donkervoort D8 RS (7:14:89), but falls behind the Dodge Viper ACR (7:12:13), Gumpert Apollo Sport (7:11:57) and a pair of Radicals that hardly meet our criteria for being called production cars, but nevertheless can tame the 'Ring in under seven minutes.
Porsche also didn't divulge other salient details like which 918 Spyder achieved this feat and what sort of tires it was fitted with. Our guess is that the car was a test mule, as that's all we've seen on the 'Ring so far, but as for tires, that's a big question yet to be answered. The time as it stands will be all the more impressive if Porsche reveals it was achieved on street tires meant for the production car.

I am speechless. What an amazing piece of work Porsche did. I am very very very very impressed. This will be the birth of an entirely new type of performance car

Cool car, heavy though. Not quite the performance (around the ring) you'd think. LFA chief says he could go lower and probably reach a 7:12 (in the Ring edition). You'd have to wonder what this car would be capable of without the hybrid system.

Ok, if Nürburgring's lap time is the only measuring stick to judge a sports car, then the Radical SR8 LM is by far the best sports car ever with a 6:48 lap time. It is 26 seconds faster, no other street registered cars can even see it's taillights. And it is only $180k, I can buy two and a half SR8 LM for the price of one LFA Nürburgring Edition.
