So I did a quick search for LBJ's cars and got the attached. Unless I missed it, I didn't see a Kia K900 in them. Maybe he got his after these pics were posted...

I think a lot more than just ad money was involved. Pro athletes can often go just about anywhere and get money to push somebody's products....there's no reason why Kia's money should be any more attractive to them than anybody else's. It is no secret (and common knowledge) that big NFL and NBA guys like big, cushy, comfortable vehicles.....just like the way the K900 rides. Of course, it's also common knowledge that anther group of NFL/NBA guys tend to like cars like the Corvette and Dodge Viper, which fits their macho image. And, even outside of the NBA, in golf, look how long Tiger Woods was associated with Buick. He stayed with Buick for years, even when he could have easily walked away, not actually doing so until Buick fired him because of the well-publicized screw-ups in his personal and married life. Now, of course, big Shaq is pushing Buicks instead....though I'm not convinced that the ad-picture of him stretching out in a LaCrosse is undoctored. I've reviewed a LaCrosse...and I know what that car's headroom/legroom limits are with the sunroof closed.
He might get a ride in a K900 if his Bentley break down..............but even that is unlikely, he would get pick up in another Bentley

And not all Bentley owners are completely satisfied with their cars. Here's one expressing his opinion outside a Bentley dealership........................

Maybe so, but Bentley and Rolls are not the kind of auto firms that typically put athletes on their PR payrolls. And both makes generally appeal more to an older group of buyers than the typical NFL/NBA star.....Rolls more so than Bentley, which is considered slight more on the sporting side.

I haven't driven a new Mulsanne yet, but I sat in the interior, it is the richest, most beautiful interior I have ever seen.

The Arnage was a funny car. I remember I rode in a brand new one and the glovebox fitment was so poor it kept popping open when you went over a bump. Love the look though.

He drove one In spirit, maybe, looking into the future. But, (just a technicality), when LBJ was President, it was known as the F-100. He passed away in 1973, and the F-150 designation debuted two years later in 1975. The ultra-luxury King-Ranch version (which used genuine Texas hides) was not introduced for a number of years after that....... I'm not sure what exact year.

I saw a white K900 on the way home from work last night. It was very attractive.

While I agree that many will be hung up on the badge, my only beef with the K900 is that it simply doesn't offer what I am looking for. If I were in the market for "soft and squishy" I would definitely give it a look. I would not hesitate to buy a Kia. But right now it's Lexus that is offering what I am looking for.

Hmmmm...........seems to me that The HS250 had a luxury Lexus badge on it, and sales went nowhere. Same for some Infiniti (Q45), Acura (ZDX), Lincoln (MKT) and BMW (X6) models.
