Fourth gen (2016) Toyota Prius

But you have to keep this in mind - worldwide, PHEV sales are really low. So PHEV model matters really very little despite PR we see in the mags. Only countries where there are big PHEV sales are the ones that also have huge tax breaks on phevs.

So yeah, it will certainly drive nicer than before, although I am sure it will not have much feel, like all Prii so far.... it is part of the charm.

this is based on all-new platform with lower center of gravity... sporty drive was one of their goals when they designed new platform TNGA and invested billions into it.

FWIW:
Toyota's 4th Gen Prius Revealed (Obviously a bait-link title. I would say it's more like someone's educated sketches)

Interesting parts from the article:
- 1280kg weight, which is less than before by at least 85kg.
- e-four system like in NX for AWD
- increased power for primary motor - 90hp from 67hp. Means more energy recovered.
- overall system power between 145-150hp... petrol engine 6hp stronger, rest would be 8hp for increased battery output which makes sense.
- slightly larger than before, so more space.
- Interior similar to Mirai
- 10% better MPG
All of this was rumored before so it is pretty believable.
I like pretty much everything except for PHEV look...maybe it will look more normal in real pics.

So when should we expect the CT to get more powerful and more effiicent, MY17?

If they could ever shoehorn the 2.5 into the CT i'm confident with less weight it could be far more potent while still delivering great mpg from a stronger and less strained powertrain
CTh
1.8L I4 134 total system hp
3130lbs
43/40/42
ESh
2.5L I4 200 total system hp
3,660lbs
40/39/40

From the badges on the side it seems like the other way round. Not sure, but the blue one seems to have a bigger badge doesn't it?
