What was the MOST UNRELIABLE auto you ever owned!

Fun thread. Unfortunately my vote easily goes to the C43, a car I enjoyed for the driving experience, but had so many problems with that I doubt I'll ever consider a Benz again (although admittedly more due to how poorly the dealer treated me than the actual problems themselves). Electrics were the worst - one of the speakers went out, seat adjust motor died, had some problems with instrument panel. Also had to replace the catalytic converter very early (around just 40k IIRC), and AC needed expensive maintenance as well. Actually just thinking to back then it's amazing how much I put up with really.

Worst ones......
I bought my step son an Audi 4000 (what a junk that was!)........oil everywhere died on him so many times I lost count, we finally junked it not to pass that piece of $***** to anyone.
But the worse car ever was a 1994 Honda Accord that my daughter wanted as her first car, that thing was beyond unreliable. I had to leave work so many times to help her from being stranded
it was at least twice a week that something went wrong with it and it only had 88k miles when I got it for her. Worst gift ever!! I wanted to get her a Corolla but she insisted on a HONDA as much as I was against it but needed to please Daddy's girl. Both great experience and although these two brands have become more reliable I will never EVER buy an Audi or Honda of any kind. Once Toyota / Lexus you just never go back hahahahaha.

It is a tie between our 1982 Audi 5000 and our 1986 Mercedes 300E. Almost every removable part in each had been replaced by the time we sold them. Nothing but Lexus since. My 1994 SC400 is the most reliable car I have ever owned. In 18 years, I have only replaced one window regulator, a water pump, and an alternator!

My dad's receptionist had one of those cars. He fixed it for her every so often. The thing was a turd and I absolutely hated it. It broke down and my dad loaned her my Cressida, which made me even more pissed. She apparently liked Hyundai enough to buy a 2003 Elantra after it finally died.

2002 Audi TT
My current DD, keeps me busy. My first German car, sure do miss my old Honda/Toyota/Lexus/Yamaha as far as reliabilty.
first hour of ownership - new battery
three hours into ownership - over heat, water pump impeller exploded (common), dumb plastic part that sees hot coolant day to day
week later - timing belt + tensioner
two weeks after that valve cover gasket for oil leak
month later ac **** cracks
still haven't gotten around to fix the instrument cluster LCD or guages (common)
replaced front sway bar mounts, still squeaks
replaced oil dipstick tube, who makes a plastic dipstick tube right next to the engine! stupid stupid stupid
I think it won Consumer reports most unreliable car in 2003, wish I knew that lol
On the plus side, stock forged internals, tuners delight (E85 programs to run crazy boost 30psi), I've got an APR stage 1 chip that gave me 260hp and 260ft tq plus the AWD makes it an awesome car at 20psi... just requires a ton of upkeep after 80k miles.
