With the 641hp LS spotted at the 'Ring, I think Lexus will actually compete against the other large saloons.
The question is: when?

F Sport has expanded throughout most of the Lexus line up.
IS F Sport
CT F Sport
GS F Sport
RX F Sport
The LS has a Sport option, but not F Sport. The LF-lc concept will most likely have an F Sport version, and could possibly be the next F performance vehicle.
Who knows when the LF-lc will go into production and if/when there will be an F version, but we definitely need an LS-F.
It would be a shame if their Performance division just has an affordable ISF and the halo LFA which is only for the super rich.

BMW has the Alpina B7 [Starting @ $122K, 4.4L V-8 Engine, 500hp/516lb-ft, 0-60 in 4.5 Seconds]
Benz has the S63 AMG [Starting @ $138K, 5.5L V-8 Engine, 536hp/590lb-ft, 0-60 in 4.4 Seconds]
Audi doesn't have one, and neither does Lexus.
But do you think that Lexus will ever make an LSF? I know that the LS has F-Sport parts, but what about a Dedicated LSF? I guess we first have to see how the GSF does, before there is an LSF.
I think it will be amazing to see a Lexus LSF. The LS has a 4.6L V-8 Engine with 380hp, accelerating from 0-60 in 5.4 Seconds, with a Base Price of $66K.
I would love to an LSF with a 4.6-5.0L V-8 Engine with over 500hp, going from 0-60 in 4.4 Seconds. Base Price of $96K? ($30K Over the Base LS?). But then, what if that ruins the sales of the LS600hL?
Any thoughts?

Don't forget the Jaguar XJL Supersport. [Starting @ $113K, 5.0L V-8 Engine, 510hp/461lb-ft, 0-60 in 4.7 Seconds.]
It's the widest, longest, shortest (all by fractions on an inch); and lightest one compared to the Bimmer and Benz.
I would choose Brit over German for a lot of different car categories...

Prices in the US are yet to be announced but in Germany: the S8 lists at €111,900 ($151k USD), where the 750i lists at €91,900 ($124k) and the S63 AMG runs €144,466 ($195k)
4.0L V8 Twin Turbo 520 HP / 479 LB-FT 0-60 4.2 seconds
and for what it's worth the regular A8 offers a 6.3L W12 500 HP / 463 LB-FT 0-60 4.4 seconds $133,500

Is the $200k Benz fully loaded in Germany or is that the starting price?
Lexus really needs to offer a more powerful version of the LS with this new upgrade. It's going to look much more aggressive, so give it a more powerful engine!

After the positive reaction to the S class AMG, I really hope and wish that Lexus will take their LS TMG edition to the next level by releasing an official production version of the LS-F.
In a way, that would encourage Audi to release an RS8 and to convince BMW to release a 'true' M7 (and not some third party iteration from Alpina).

I agree..........though it rests on the decision of Lexus whether to actually release a GS-F or not. Thankfully, the response and feedback as well as sales of their first full-fledged F models (I.e. ISF and LFA) have been extremely positive so 'hopefully' this would work in favor to making a GS-F.
Hehe hope for the best
