That's the second light(er) weight ISF concept that Lexus has shown...I really wish there was some type of production plan for a car like that. CF accessories, track bits, tuned to 450HP....would be amazing.

That Miata type concept looks disappointing .

However, the IS-F CCS-R more than makes up for it . I hope that means we see the IS-F in more racing, or that some sort of production version of that is coming.

As disappointing as the Miata-type thing is, I'm just glad that Toyota is working on something fun and affordable at all. Surely the production version will look a lot better thought out...I hope?

Well the FT-86 is coming, there is a rumored Supra successor, and a rumored MR2 successor. If these rumors are true, a Miata-type car might be redundant.

I'm not sure if such a car is coming to production, we'll see.

hehe, i thought with all the talk on the silly looking quad exhaust outlet producing the down force (iirc), there is no need for a wing?

With the FT-86 now rumored to become a mid-$20k car, I think a sub-FT-86 car is needed help fill that Miata/low-$20k niche (remember the FT-86 was targeting a sub-$20k price point at the beginning of the project?). With many rumors about the MR2 successor being an FR and no longer MR, I think this Miata-type car is the MR2 successor they're talking about, although I personally will never see an FR car as a true MR2 successor. More like a blasphemy in fact.

^yup. I don't think it's an MR2 successor, but it will fill a great niche. An FR car for under $20k.
