Driving a stock car vs modded car. I think I'm keeping my next car stock.

I love modding cars and I'll probably mod every car I get in some way. I've never been one to go overboard with mods though. A nice set of wheels, coilovers, and upgraded stereo are usually the first things I like to put on the car. I always change out the exhaust too.
Stuff like body kits and turbos depend on the car.

I just bought my IS300, and I'm having a hard time with this issue. I really don't want to mod it too much since it rides so nice as is, especially for a DD. I might eventually do struts/lowering springs, I'm positive I won't do coilovers. Also possibly a quiet-ish aftermarket exhaust, something that lets the JZ clear its throat but won't wake my neighbors as I idle through my parking lot on the way to work.
As a few have said earlier, I want to mod for daily driving. I don't mind a slight drop and some visual/performance stuff, but I won't do a slammed car on coilovers again. My EP3 was like that and after a while it honestly wasn't fun to drive every day.

for someone like me who has multiple vehicles, there's reason to differentiate the "garage queens" and still be comfortable in your DD for commutes n errands. Even my DD Solara has minimal mods...descent drop, wheels and a sub. The GS barely gets used during the week but is heavily modded along with my SE-R, too.
Doubt I'd stray away from mods...can't help but love a clean, aesthetically pleasing ride of your own

I may continue to mod but I think it would take a lot for me to drop one of my cars again. I think a set of wheels is pretty much all I will do in the future. Hopefully I will buy something in the future that looks great bone stock.

I've enjoyed the journey and the final product of my "slightly" modded IS3 which I sold recently due to needing and wanting to buy a compact SUV/Crossover. Although I have no regrets, I'm done and will be keeping my current vehicle as well as future vehicles stock.

I modded a 1991 mr2 turbo I bought new and I'll never recover the 30k in mods I put into it. My new car is an Audi A5 that I will most likely not mod. I bought the s line competition package which gave me a sport suspension, 19 inch wheels, leather/alcantara sport seats, piano black trim and flat bottom steering wheel. If I decide to mod the A5... it will be spacers and that's it.
