GM TO SELL OFF ITS HISTORY
Hundreds of classic cars to go to auction



A struggling General Motors is auctioning off a big chunk of its Heritage Collection in Michigan.

The collection, most of which currently resides in Sterling Heights, Michigan, comprises of around 1,000 important cars from the marque's history. 250 of these are expected to be flogged in order to raise some much-needed cash for the troubled American giant.

The cars will be sold between the 13th - 18th of January at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, though there are rumours that another auction may take place in Florida next April.

I remember our first Van for the wife was a Silhouette and I wanted to drop it and put wider wheels so the OSV was high on my radar at the time!

I'd love to pick up a mint Typhoon too. I miss my Typhoon badly. I wonder if they would take a Marauder and Sienna in trade?!?

Ok, I understand that they are strapped for cash, but selling off those pieces of un-replaceable history, to me, isn't right. They shouldn't be forced to sell their company's history... That's like asking California to sell their historic documents before they run out of money...
