article is complete bull, so it will not look like it, it will look like FT-86 concept in europe.

it will also be faster and lighter than tC, which this article doubts, lol.

The FRS is going to be smaller than the Genesis. It's going to be roughly the same size as the 7th generation Celica.

3000lbs. for the automatic version? Yeah right. 2300lbs. is what I've been hearing. Auto trans. don't add 700lbs.

that five axis interview is depressing. They made a concept whose cool aspects will not make it to production- wide body, lower roof with more rakish profile

One can only hope they'll release an official body kit just like that, although the chance of that happening is very slim.

Why does the US/Canada always get the short end of the stick?

I just hope this thing comes with some nice wide tires, something a-la GT2.

you will certainly be able to get the wide body kit from tuners... and i doubt it will look bad anyway, i am sure this car will look good. it is very low too.

p.s. FT-86 is significantly lower than S2000 :-).

Obviously they were building show car so changes were made, but lets not make it sound as it is an Yaris, because it is not... it is very low vehicle as it is.

hahahahahah. this car ain't gonna weight 2300lbs.

However, I do believe R&T are talking out of their behind... no way this car is going to be as heavy as 3000lbs in any variant.

Well, if there's enough aftermarket demand, then you never know. I have actually been thinking about picking one up. I think it'd be pretty fun to clubsport one of these.

Celica had a ton of body kits... not cheap though.

there will be an "sports" version with big spoiler, and skirts, but i doubt it will be wide body.

Where do you get your info from? The goal was to get the car a little over a metric ton- 2200lbs. Dry weight it should be within that area with curb weight below 2500lbs. You got proof otherwise? Or do people inside Toyota not know what they're talking about?

I also heard 2400lbs dry weight from a very reliable source. I know it's not more than 2,600lbs.
