98 GS 300 VS 2000 BMW 528iA
My friend just got his 528IA last week and today was the first day we compared both our cars.
His car has the 5-speed auto 12 disc cd changer (in the trunk) black with tan int.
Exterior: the paint on his car looked real good few scratches and swirls. the wheels are the 17 inch 540 rims with Michelin pilot a/s xenon lights
My car paints looks good with hardly no swirls and maybe 1 or two scratches I have the factory 16 inch wheel with few curb rashes but we both agree that Lex looked better

Interior: This wasn't close his tan seats were worn, the cheap wood had air bubbles and seats felt hard.
the interior on mine soft seats a lot more room steering wheel a little worn disc changer in glove what both of us like a lot better.

Acceleration: My car was faster for some reason because both of us thought the Bimmer was faster but from take off mine was a little faster not by much.

Handling: we both drove each other cars his car rode like it was on rails (it handle almost better than my 545) it rode the curves easily no brakes just pressing gas.
The Lexus has some issues on the handling part we rode the same rodes and both of us had to tap the brakes on the same curves in fact he was on my *** on the curves but I pulled away on the straight aways.

Driving: The Lexus felt better on the highway stereo sounded 10x better the Bimmer sounded muted. the climate control on both cars cooled about he same. I liked the steptronic transmission and the radio controls on the steering wheel both cars shifted smoothly, The Lex passed cars with ease on the highway better than the Bimmer but the Bimmer stuck to the exit ramp. The only interior noise in the Lex was the famous rattle on the sunroof other than that all you heard was the engine purring at 80. The Bimmer made a whistling noise and the whole dash clicked and vibrated from about 55 and up but that inline sounded better than the Lex especially when you gun it.
well we spent about 4 hrs hanging out and we both agree that the Lexus was a better luxury sports sedan. period
