I got an IS350 in October and kept my '98 Pontiac Grand Prix around to use as my daily driver. However, with 185K miles on it, maintainance is not only getting costly but quite inconvienient. Not to mention it requires premium gas and a modified 3.8 supercharged V6 is quite inefficient. I'm toying with the idea of selling/trading that car in for a small econobox. I don't need anything fancy, just the basics. There are a few requirments I have though.

1) Must be automatic transmission
2) Must have AC
3) Must have atleast a radio. CD player would be nice too, but not necessarily a "requirment"

Ive been looking at the Toyota Yaris. It seems to hit all the major points I'm looking for. It's inexpensive, economical and has my 3 requirments. What other vehicles in this class should I consider before making my decision?

I looked at the Yaris too but wanted a 4dr hatchback. At a similar price point, the Honda Fit and Scion xA fit the bill. I am currently looking at the Fit.

I think the Honda Fit is a good choice; so is the Toyota Yaris h/b
