I'd rather have a Scion if I am going to drive a tin can.

Which Scion... if... you had to drive a tin-can.

Been dinking around with pricing out vehicles with MSRP's less than $15K just for the fun of it.

Cheers,
Kermee

I played around with a showroom Yaris Sedan but haven't test driven one yet. I was going to swing by the local Honda dealership tomorrow to see if they have a Fit to play with. These really small & cheap cars are really interesting. Sometimes, it's just amazing what they can pack into them. And the Korean versions are even less expensive.

Cheers,
Kermee

It's a huge step forward from the Echo it replaces. I do admit it is a very nice car for the entry level economy class. Way the hell better than the Chevy Aveo!

I actually sat in the Yaris a few weeks ago and for the money its not really a bad car.. reminds me of the newer Corolla... Now if only Toyota would make the camry with better Gas mileage I'm sure sales would go through the roof..

I looked at a Yaris once as a second car down here, but way too expensive new over U.S. prices.

I'd rather get a Mazda 3i personally. I really don't like the center-mounted gauges. I keep telling people that I think the Yaris would make a better Scion than a Toyota.

I checked it out at the autoshow and even though I think it looks better than the Fit and I am a Toyota guy, I like the Fit better.

Consider it? I can't lie, I did for about 10 minutes. Be a great daily commuter.

I would get Mazda3 over US Yaris anytime, except... they are not same class of cars. Mazda3 is Corolla competitor that is 4k more expensive than Yaris..

Mine too. She wants the indigo ink pearl-esque sedan.
