New York Preview: Scion To Release tC Series 2.0 in Big Apple
TORRANCE, California — Scion will display its latest limited edition, the tC Release Series 2.0, at the 2006 New York International Auto Show.
The tC R.S. 2.0 should begin to appear at Scion dealerships in mid-April, priced at $1,960 over the base model. That brings the suggested sticker to $18,800, including shipping.
The tC R.S. 2.0 gets a single exterior paint scheme, called Blue Blitz Mica, and features a stainless-steel mesh upper and lower front grille, plus 17-inch alloy wheels with a satin metallic finish. Side airbags and side curtains, which are the only factory-installed options on the base tC, come as standard equipment on the R.S. 2.0.
The R.S. 2.0's front and rear seats are trimmed in black Alcantara, a suedelike material that provides better friction grip than leather. The car also comes standard with a premium Pioneer AM/FM/CD audio system with iPod connectivity and color-changing LED display, as well as a Pioneer 6-inch subwoofer mounted in the underfloor storage area. The special edition also is equipped with XM Satellite Radio and comes with a paid three-month subscription.
Only 2,600 units of the tC Release Series 2.0 will be built. An individually numbered, brushed stainless-steel badge denotes the limited edition.
What this means to you: The question being asked is no longer if Scion can succeed, but rather if it can keep its winning streak going.

but I actually like the first Red Release Series more. This one looks kinda cheesy. Only thing I really like is the Alcantara seats.
