I'm thinking about buying a Supra and started looking at ebay and something really fishi about them. Ive found atleast few moded Supras that goes for $7K or less per forum rule I won't include ebay links but check it out yourself.
I've found one from local news paper but no phone#, I emailed the person but this kinda smells too.

Yeah I see those every once in awhile, and I don't think they are legit. I would not even bother trying. A 20k-30k car going for 7k?? No one can be that desperate to sell a car.

You'd be surprised (or probably not) at how much fraudulent crap people try to pull on ebay and other places.

The dealership I work at we sell classic and exotic cars and maybe once or twice a month we'll get a phone call about a car we have and people wondering why the the buy it now for an $80k Cobra is only $6k. Sometimes its that extreme but sometimes they look legit. Who knows how many listings people have made that we haven't known about.

I cant help but imagine how many naive and unknowing helpless people actually fall for it thinking they got a hell of a deal. People give people too much credit.

Yes, something definitely is not right, I just got an email (a person from local ad).

Sorry for the delay but I had some problems with my internet connection.
My name is Josephine Sapalaran and I am the legal owner of this 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo. The car is in perfect condition as it is shown in the ad and has no mechanical problems. All services has been made at a Toyota Service. The car has 85 000 miles on it, the title is clear,so,there is no damage on it.

The car has an automatic transmission. I'm the 6th owner, and all the previous owners was from California. The car is located in Covina, California but don't worry because the car can be shipped to your location without any extra costs for the shipping because there are included in the final price. I recently moved with my family and now we are in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Since I lost my job and I didn't found one here yet,I have to sell this car as soon as possible and due to the fact that this car is an US model the price to register it here is very high,also the shipping to this place, so I've decided to sell it in US at a price that will find a buyer in a few days .

I have the car locked up in my garage in US.As I've said the car is in perfect mechanical and esthetical condition.The price that I'm looking for it is 5500 USD ( this price include shipping and handling ) .As soon as the payment will be made I will take a plane to US and take care of things.

For safety reasons I think that the most important thing when we make a deal over the internet,is to have both of us 100% protection in case of fraud or anything else.

Although she offers to use escrow but a person can't be that desperate to sell a modded Supra TT for $5500 shipped from CA and after the $$ transferred she will travel back to the States.

I figure,
$5500 Car
- 1000 Transport
- 500 Escrow fee
- 800 round trip air from UK

That will equal approx. $3200.

I just sent this e-mail (under a phony yahoo account) to the scammer selling the "JDM-Right Hand Drive Supra" for $7000.

I really didn't want to stay at that dirty hotel all night so i drove the car home. It really stinked cause my Dad ended up puking all over the backseat and even some on the back of my neck. It was really gross in the beginning. But, by the time I got home I really liked the way it felt when I was sitting in it. Weird huh?

I've fallen for the Supra for cheap scams too, save your time, they all start out with "I'm currently stationed in Europe, but I can still sell you my car..."

It must be working because they are still around hitting up craigslist and autotrader.

If you want a Supra TT 6 speed expect to pay around 20k for a decent one and up to 30k for a pristine one. They tend to appreciate over time unlike most cars.
