What to you think, guys? Was that car totalled?

Seriously, we don't know, though, if that is the actual wreckage or not. Even though the car broke apart, that looks more to me like what was left after a bulldozer got done pushing the remains aside. And I agree...these guys, multiple injuries or not, are fortunate to be alive.
I won't venture to guess what caused this. It could have been anything from a front tire blowout to excessive speed for conditions to DWI to hitting an icy patch ( The IS miserable on really slick roads ) to hitting a deer and going out of control to swerving to avoid hitting something to many other possibilities.
