mandarin, chinese, all use the same writting...
so the written character for a word is universal, however the spoken word is differen depending on region. mandarin is more a region dialec, taiwan mandarin and beijing mandarin sound different (beijing mandarin sounds like an asian trying to speak like a pirate... ARRRRRRGGGHHH!) hahahahaha

^ LOL! that's the first i've heard of a mainlander sounding like a pirate!
yeah, so what shoei said, mandarin, cantonese, shanghainese, fukienese, taiwanese, etc, etc, etc...these are all dialects of the chinese language, representing different areas of china, with mandarin being the official dialect. all have the same written language (chinese characters), but spoken differently. same as in english language, written is the same regardless whether you are a canadian, american, australian, or uk english. but the pronunciation (or dialect) is different, depending on region.

Havn't hang-out in Richmond at night for so long, I went to the bubble tea place
at Cambie by Garden City with a group of friends last night. There're a lot of IS
around that area. There was a white one with ING+1 turn onto Cambie at 11pm
and another white stocked turning into the gas station....

Saw two idiots street racing near metrotown around 10pm. Going Eastbound on Mackay and kingsway. 5th gen silver prelude and a black 6th/7th gen civic. Fart cans all around. Civic tries to launch but fails miserably and leaves a big cloud of tire smoke. Idiots. Aren't there usually cops hanging around on the above ground parking lots at metro?
Spotted a blue IS-F on victoria and 51st around 5pm.
Saw some others but not very interesting. Mostly typical richmond honger cars.
