1991 Toyota Aristo in the United States (Legally!)
Hello fellers!
I bought a 1991 Aristo back in 2015. Put in storage until last weekend when I legally imported it. I don't have pictures of everything yet. I need to get better about documenting.
Here it is:
The day I loaded it onto the trailer to move it to storage for hibernation:
Sunday, when I brought it across the border and got my import paperwork approved:
Central Pine Chasing LED tail lights:
Work Euroline DZ 19X9 +25 (f) 19X10 +30 (r)
Nasiga-Auto Rear lower control arms:
Engine work:
ProEFI128 ECU:
Borg-Warner S366SX turbo:
MAHLE forged pistons.
K1 billet rods:
Titian Cam gears:
Brian Crower 272 cams:
Boost Logic T4 divided manifold:
Shiny bits from the Netherlands. Made one-off to order:
Personal steering wheel:
ProDrive-Japan Rapfix II quick release and lock:
Radium engineering -8AN fuel rail and Fuel pulse damper:
Crower springs and retainers (no pic. Look like springs and retainers)
Precision 46mm wastegate
Race Technologies Dash2
Trans is a built C&C A340E trans. Still waiting on a torque converter
Exhaust is an authentic Fujitsubo Legalis from Japan.
Stay tuned for more!
...Detroit Aristo.

Wow really looking forward to seeing the progress with your build.
So what are your plans for it, will it be a daily driver, show car or a weekend roller, etc?
As you know i think the tail lights are fantastic, also love the custom cam cover with Aristo cut out.
With that turbo and trans package its going to haul ***. : )

Plans are a weekend fun car. It's going VIP with power. I think the turbo is a limiting factor right now. I am looking to upgrade very soon.
I am still not sure on a body kit. It's very difficult to find one that fits the Aristo and not the GS300 here in the States. The Aristo has much thinner bumpers as Japan doesn't have the same bumper requirements.

Put the wheels on. Need to get the rears tucked better. They are contacting the fender on the sidewall.

It's a parking pole that was fitted by the dealer. Optional install. Mine unfortunately, has no guts. I removed the harness (it was plug and play) for when I actually find another parking pole to replace it.
No coilovers yet. Trying to figure out if I want to buy some that will hold me over for the rest of the year or just save up and get the Powered By Maxx air-pistons.

The antenna in our cars is a diversity antenna located in the rear window AFAIK.
