Default 1991 Toyota Aristo in the United States (Legally!)

Hello fellers!

I bought a 1991 Aristo back in 2015. Put in storage until last weekend when I legally imported it. I don't have pictures of everything yet. I need to get better about documenting.

Here it is:
The day I loaded it onto the trailer to move it to storage for hibernation:

Wow really looking forward to seeing the progress with your build.

So what are your plans for it, will it be a daily driver, show car or a weekend roller, etc?

As you know i think the tail lights are fantastic, also love the custom cam cover with Aristo cut out.

With that turbo and trans package its going to haul ***. : )

Same here, looking forward to this project. Even more interested about the legal process of importation and the steps that were necessary.

It took a lot of patience, and time really. Finding one that was in good shape nearly 2 years before they became U.S. legal was a huge step.

Plans are a weekend fun car. It's going VIP with power. I think the turbo is a limiting factor right now. I am looking to upgrade very soon.

I am still not sure on a body kit. It's very difficult to find one that fits the Aristo and not the GS300 here in the States. The Aristo has much thinner bumpers as Japan doesn't have the same bumper requirements.

Put the wheels on. Need to get the rears tucked better. They are contacting the fender on the sidewall.

They look great...do you have coil overs fitted?

On the rear bar you have an aerial...is that factory?

It's a parking pole that was fitted by the dealer. Optional install. Mine unfortunately, has no guts. I removed the harness (it was plug and play) for when I actually find another parking pole to replace it.

No coilovers yet. Trying to figure out if I want to buy some that will hold me over for the rest of the year or just save up and get the Powered By Maxx air-pistons.

I can't find an antenna on mine, radio reception is really good but i have no idea where it might be....i would keep the body work clean and have the antenna somewhere else maybe?

It's not an antenna. It's a parking pole.

The antenna in our cars is a diversity antenna located in the rear window AFAIK.
