Default 93Sc300 Slow build

HI,
I have been lurking this site for a bit before i actually got my sc300. And now I think i'm at a point where I want to share how the car is looking. And hopefully motivate others as well as motivate my self by sharing my cars progress.

I got the car in Feb 2014 , for $2500. At that time the car had is300 wheels and some ebay tail lights.

The first thing i got for the car is actually a funny story. The same guy that sold me the car calls me up a day after the sell tells me if i want to buy some wheels he had in his garage for $200 but the are plastidiped. I said " send me a picture and i will call back" So got this Work Euroline S2H 18.8.5 and 18x9.5 Staggered for $200 LOL.

Took the dip off.

The wheels ended up been in bad shape, so i dipped them again and lowered the car. Also got a rear window spoiler for like $60 in Amazon and painted all the chrome trim in the car black. And yeah those Ebay tails had to go sooo....

Sorry for the quality!!

Now we Get to the more interesting part. I wanted a body kit that had the same style as pre 97s but also wanted to change it a bit to make it my own. At the end of the day I saw a deal for a Vertex rep that i could not pass on regardless of the front not been the actual style i wanted i did want the same style sides and rear.

The fitment was horrible.

But that did not stop me. I wanted something i can call my own anyways and said to a friend of mine "F this, we are cutting them in half". The bottom half of the Vertex rep is good, and the top of my bumper is good. Its Frankenstein time!!

I riveted the hell out of the two bumpers together then re fiberglassed and bondo and bondoglass and a few other things to make the fiber bond to the plastic and deleted the side markers. Sorry i don't have pictures of the full process, but this is how it looked.

As you can probably tell, the bumper also ended up been shorter and smaller then a Vertex rep. Now i need to mod where the high beams go and the back housing won't fit or leave it like that and use them as air duct for future upgrades i have planned.
Here is how it looks now.

Future plan is to paint the car in Mocha Brown dip. I have a friend that has his car plastidip in a way that it looks like paint and feels almost as smooth. Also in the saving up process for a soarer half cut .
